When Christians fight, Gays win. Opportunity to get homophobic Xtians to bring each other down and Xtianity down.
Online there is a developing subculture of Evangelicals and Roman Catholics attacking each other. Encouraging this can bring down the two major homophobic groups in the West and impact Xtianity.

DON’T USE THE PICTURES.
I am finding that a simple text line works best. I think when you use pictures they know they are being baited. I have been spending one day with pictures and one day with simple text. I get a lot more reaction with simple texts it seem.
I am not saying never use the pictures, and I need to do more testing.
Backstory
I have been looking for short texts that when communicated to Christians will subvert their psychology. That is to test out texts that can work as a psyop against homophobic Christians. I test them on X.
The statements or arguments that the atheists community general use don’t have impact. They are often the same arguments that Christians have faced over 20 centuries and these arguments have a 20 century record of being ineffective. Angry attacks or blasphemy actually strengthens the Christian psychology since they have this whole martyrology thing. Some atheist attacks make Christians feel good.
Also, a lot of the atheists are wanting to convert Christians to atheism. That is fine if it can be done. I want to disable them psychologically so they can’t hurt us.
So I have thought of statements that will be viewed, but might act to undermine their psychology over weeks or months as well as statements that will immediately undermine them.
There is a subculture on X of Roman Catholics attacking Protestantism and Evangelicals attack Catholicism. I found this simple statement posted in reply to their posts on X really upsets some. The statement is.
When Christians fight, Gays win.
When I made images with that slogan, I didn’t find they were anymore effective in getting a reaction, in fact they seem to be less effective.
The reason this short statement is effective, is that it instills some fear that what they are doing might actually benefit Gays and defeat homophobic Christianity. Also, there isn’t some premade rationalization that they won’t undermine homophobic, so they read this statement unprepared with a ready made response.
I don’t think there is a risk that this statement, “When Christians fight, Gays win,” will promote Christian unity. People involved with sectarian attacks in the 21st century aren’t those with rational thinking and also these sectarian attacks are about being a better Christian than the other person which is a psychological need they have.
Also, sectarian attacks by Christians is an inherent and long standing feature of Christianity.
When you run across on X or some social media platform a sectarian attack by one group against another, if you just type this short sentence, there is a maybe one in five chance that some homophobic Christian might be really upset. The sentence is short and doesn’t take much opportunity.
By the way, we should be looking for more destabilizing and disabling short arguments.
The larger opportunity
There is an opportunity for Gay atheists to exploit these sectarian attacks more than just upsetting some Christians here and there.
There are two major opportunities.
[1] Get homophobic Christians focused on attacking each other.
[2] Get Christianity discredited, or at least the homophobic branches discredit by sectarian attacks.
If we could have homophobic Christians engaged in sectarian attacks on each other they wouldn’t be able to form political alliances against Gays. This isn’t that difficult to accomplish. The Evangelicals are all about being more authentic faithful holier Christians than others and in defiance against the world. It is one of the drivers of their homophobia. They aren’t at all susceptible to rational arguments when there is an opportunity to feel more super Christian. This is how fentanyl Jesus works in Evangelical Christianity. The conservative branches of Roman Catholicism are much the same, and also they want to be saints and holy persons also. Also, there is the whole historical record of them doing horrible wretched things to each other which they can draw on to feel aggreived and feel they are seeking divine justice and other emotional rollercoasters to ride for fun and Christian thrills.
Homophobic Christianity is mentally unhinged. We can push them deeper into their well of craziness.
Further while these homophobic Christians are focused on attacking each other, they will have less time, energy and resources to attack Gays.
Given the centuries long horrible murderous conflicts in Western history, religious wars, burning of heretics, Inquisitions, and massacres of Jews and others, the general public has a horror of sectarian attacks. The general public isn’t that convinced that the menace of sectarian Christianity is locked in the past. The conflicts in Northern Ireland and the historically relatively recent attacks on John F. Kennedy by First Baptist Dallas pastor W.A. Criswell hint that a revival of Christian sectarian conflict is possible.
If the homophobic branches of Christianity became engaged in sectarian attacks the public would have a deep revulsion against them. Broad sections of society would be mobilized against them and be prepared to take serious actions to repress sectarian attacks. Society would also identify anti-Gay attacks with a more general sectarian madness and the support for Gays would be much stronger than it is now.
The Evangelical community would be divided between those who are engaged in the intoxication of sectarianism and those Evangelicals who see it crashing the Evangelical movement further reducing what effort they could engage in to fight Gays. Similary with conservative sectarian Catholics and other Catholics.
Again, political movements built on conservative Catholics and Evangelicals would collapse since they would be fighting each other, not only in Catholic vs. Evangelical sectarian attacks, but in internal conflicts among Catholics and among Evangelicals over sectarian attacks.
What to do?
We need to make these sectarian attacks more visible. We need to entice conservative Catholics and Evangelicals to get engaged with sectarian attacks on each other.
I think that just letting more Evangelicals and conservative Catholics know about these sectarian attack subcultures will get alot to join in sectarian attacks. They will get engaged in the theological arguments and then they will more and more get drawn into sectarianism. I think a lot of Evanglicals would get involved if they just knew this subculture existed or if they saw an anti-Protestant post by a Catholic group that would get them engaged with the argument and then start pulling them into sectarian arguments and gradually be fully engaged in sectarian conflicts.
Evanglical Christians are always deeply concerned about having theologically pure Christianity. That is why they have been so divided by doctrines and fragmented. Having the “true faith,” is an intoxicant to them, but also deeply fundamental to Christian belief and a driver to attack the “false prophets.” Sectarian conflict is inherent in Christianity.
I think that a lot of homphobic Christians might get involved with sectarian attacks in a reflexive action against Gays mocking sectarianism. They might find engaging in sectarianism as a way of rejecting Gays. We could encourage this by mocking sectarianism.
ACTION ITEMS.
[1] In sectarian conflict social media posts, just start posting the text, or an image with the text, “When Christians fight, Gays win.” This creates online noise.
[2] In religious posts, post a contrary sectarian item. For example if some Protestant group is posting something, post “You forget the Virgin Mary.” If it is a Catholic post, post something like, “A lot of Catholicism has pagan origins.” Or post links to webpages or blogs with the sectarian attack. Or it could be more subtle. For the Evangelicals you might post a reply, “How come you don’t discuss the Virgin Mary?”
[3] Share the post with a snide comment about sectarian conflict.
[4] If there is a sectarian conflict overseas, make sure it is known locally.
These are just the tactics I can immediately think of. I will update this section as I get new ideas.
If we could get this sectarian conflicts going, we could bring down homophobic Christianity.
